What the kit stops
The narrow gaps down the sides of a garage door let in more than you would expect.
- Draughts. Wind pushes air through the side channels all year round.
- Dust and grit. Fine dirt blows in through any gap at the edge of the door.
- Leaves and debris. The kind that piles up and attracts pests.
- Spiders, cockroaches and other insects. They treat any edge gap as an open door.

What’s in the kit
The KoolDoor garage door seal kit is a side brush seal system. Each kit includes:

- Slim aluminium carrier rails that hold the bristles and screw to the frame
- Fixing screws to mount the carriers
These are side seals for the vertical gaps along the door edges. They are not a bottom-of-door floor seal.

How to fit it
This is a weekend job, not a tradie call-out.
- Measure the side gaps. Run your tape down each vertical edge of the door and note the height.
- Cut to length. A hacksaw trims the aluminium carrier. Cut a fraction long and trim back.
- Fix the carrier. Hold the carrier against the door frame so the bristles press onto the door face. Drill and screw it in place down the full height.
- Run the door. Open and close it a few times. The bristles should sweep the door edge with no light gap and no dragging.
Most people finish in about an hour.
